RFID EUROPE 2010
The conference 28th and 29th September:
http://www.idtechex.com/rfideurope10/
The conference will deal with the current state of the RFID industry.
Much to recommend RFID in terms of efficiency but there are serious privacy issues with the technology. RFID is one of the component technologies for 'location based services' which has provoked much concern http://www.futureintelligence.co.uk/content/view/118/64/ .
RFID 2010 will deal with issues of importance to this developing industry which has not made the huge inroads predicted for it in areas such as consumer clothing but is none-the-less developing momentum.
Over 30 world class speakers - some presenting exclusively for the first time here - topics include:
Printed RFID
Mobile payments thanks to RFID / NFC
RFID health and the aging population
Home automation
Wireless sensor networks / Energy harvesting / RTLS (Real Time Location Systems)
Total asset visibility
Smart grid / smart meters
Smart Packaging
Transportation
RFID successes in apparel
What's happening in China and Korea
RFID in the oil and gas industry
